Police Policy Lunch

TMLS, Fed. Soc., and ACS, are co-sponsoring a lunch titled “Police Policy: Improving Tactics, Accountability, and Community Relations.” Our speakers include: Craig Moore (Travis County DA Office and TMLS alumn), Amanda Wood (Institute for Urban Policy and Research Analysis), Scott Erikson (Law Enforcement professional writer for the Heritage Foundation), and Professor Jennifer Laurin (Crim Law Professor Texas Law).

GRITS Volunteer Info Session:

Come learn about volunteer opportunities at the GRITS Conference . Opportunities include hosting a conference attendee in your home, being a primary speaker contact (including transportation), and staffing the registration table and helping with other day-of tasks. Project

Location: Travis County Law Library (314 W. 11th Street)
Time: 5:30-9PM
Members will receive 5.5 pro bono hours total (including training). Students will help others determine eligibility and prepare paperwork to file petitions to expunge criminal records or obtain orders of nondisclosure of criminal records. Expunging records allows people to legally deny offenses and erase records from criminal histories, mitigating future harm stemming from arrests that do not result in a criminal conviction.
